Good Morning Sea Raiders,

What a great week the Sea Raiders had; our away meet against New Paltz was a true nail bitter and our first home meet was a success! Coaches are so proud of the progress ALL of our swimmers have made in such a short period of time. Every meet, times are getting progressively better and strokes are looking beautiful! Keep up the hard work in the pool everyone!

A special THANK YOU to our parents who continuously step up to help and support the team! Thank you to our veteran parents who jump in without asking and to our new parents who aren't afraid to try anything we ask you to do! They say it takes a village, and the Red Hook Sea Raiders is a village I am proud to be a part of! 

We are looking for a few more parents who may be interested in becoming a swim official. We need a few more volunteers to ensure we have enough officials on deck to start a swim meet. Please see Coach Mary if you are interested! PS- You get to walk around the meet with walkie talkies and look VERY "official"- if that's not a selling point :)!

Wednesday 7/16: AWAY vs. ZENA. Please declare TODAY!!! Warm-ups are at 4pm; if you need help carpooling, please email and we can help you find a ride!

ZOOM FLUME WATER PARK:  Thursday, July 17th 10am-4pm (or until the park closes)

This event is for swimmers who have OR will be attending TWO swim meets this season. We will leave immediately following practice. One of our parents will be at the front desk at Zoom Flume to check you in and direct you to our teams pavilion, where families can drop their belongings for the day. The park does NOT allow outside food in the facility, however, you may purchase food vouchers in our Merch Store OR there are picnic tables set up just outside the park if you prefer to pack your own lunch. This is a fun filled event! Please see Michelle's email from earlier in the week for more details.

DUSO Champs Announcements

Thank you to families who have donated towards our championship event. We truly appreciate your help in any way you can give. Please head to our website to find out how you can help host the BEST Championship DUSO has ever seen! There are gift basket donations, set-up crew on August 1st, shout-outs for swimmers in our program, bake sale sign ups and business sponsorships!

Last Quick Note: RIBBONS

All swimmers receive ribbons AFTER PRACTICE during the week. We would ask that swimmers and families refrain from grabbing their ribbons DURING a swim meet. We have volunteers labeling and organizing your swimmers ribbons while a meet is happening. If a ribbon is lost during this time, unfortunately it can not be replaced. Ribbons are placed out AFTER practices and can be retrieved by your swimmer then! We would ask that you check the ribbon box at least once a week to empty your families folder and make room for more achievements throughout the season! Thank you for understanding!
